Submission and Author Guidelines


ABOUT SUBMISSION

· Registration fees are paid per submission, and the registration fee amount is determined according to the first author.
· After the fee payment is made, refunds for any reason are not available. 
· Attendance as an audience member at the symposium is free of charge. Individuals who will attend as audience members do not need to register.

ABSTRACT PREPARATION GUIDE

· Abstracts should be either in English or in Turkish.

· There is a maximum of 250 words allowed per abstract. The title, name, and surname of the author(s) do not count. The Abstract text should be written as a single paragraph without indentation.

· References should not be mentioned in the abstract text.

· The abstract should include the research objectives, methods, findings, discussions, and at least three keywords.

· Name and surname of the author(s) should be placed under the abstract title, centered, and surname written in capitals. After the surname, a superscripted asterisk (*) should be placed, and information regarding the author/authors’  title, institutions, contact information, and Orcid numbers must be written in Times New Roman 10 point and single line space that should be seen only in the first page of the article, justified in the footer.

· The heading of an abstract should be written in capital letters, centered, 12 point, and bold. Abstracts and Key Words should be 11 points and 1.5 line spaced.

· Expressions in the text, such as newspapers, books, magazines, artworks, computer games, mobile applications, and brand names, should be written in italics.

 

GUIDELINES FOR ORAL PRESENTATIONS

· Oral presentations have to be in either Turkish or English.

· Paper presentations should be made in the language in which the paper was written.

· The presentations are limited to 15 minutes

 

FULL PAPER PREPARATION GUIDE

· Full papers must not exceed 7500 words. The paper submission rules of Etkileşim Üsküdar University Faculty of Communication Academic Journal should be taken into consideration.

ABSTRACT & FULL-TEXT SUBMISSION

· The deadline for abstract submission is February 2, 2024

· The full-text submissions should be sent to ifig@uskudar.edu.tr by August 2, 2024.

· Click here for the abstract writing rules.

· Abstracts should be submitted via the symposium website. Please note that abstracts sent by fax or e-mail will not be accepted.

· Oral presentations can be made online or face to face. Poster presentations can only be made face to face.

· Abstracts should be added to the relevant field after the form on the website is filled.

· Submitted abstracts will be peer-reviewed by the members of the scientific committee. Decisions will be sent to authors via e-mail.

· The registration fee has to be paid after the acceptance.

· Since the registration process will be completed after the fee payment is made, there is no need to fill in the form again.
