Rapidly evolving digital technologies are causing transformative effects in media and communication processes. This shift impacts human and social life in numerous ways. The Symposium on Media and Communication Studies in the Digital Age aims to open up for discussion the human, social, political, and cultural reflections of the transformation in the production and consumption processes of media with digitalization. The symposium aims to significantly contribute to studies in the field of communication and media by delving into the nature of this transformation, its effects on the media ecosystem, and the global results it will bring.
The symposium, which has been held in Üsküdar University with the participation of academics from mostly Western countries as well as Turkey, will be held in Baku this year, which will encourage the participation of researchers from the East, especially from the Turkic Republics.
