Author Guidelines
ABOUT SUBMISSION
· Please note that it is required to pay a registration fee for each abstract submission (e.g. if you send two abstracts, and they are both accepted, you will be required to pay two registration fee).
· Please note that participants will not get refunds for payments already made.
· Participants without a presentation are exempt from the registration fee. Participants without a presentation are not required to register. No participation certificate will be issued to those attending the symposium as spectators.
ABSTRACT PREPARATION GUIDE
· Abstracts must be either in English, Turkish, or Azerbaijani.
· There is a maximum of 250 words allowed per abstract. The title, name, and surname of the author(s) do not count. The Abstract text should be written as a single paragraph without indentation.
· References should not be included in the abstract text.
· The abstract should include the research objectives, methods, findings, discussions, and at least three keywords.
· Name and surname of the author(s) should be placed under the abstract title, centered, and surname written in capitals. After the surname, a superscripted asterisk (*) should be placed, and information regarding the author/authors’ title, institutions, contact information, and Orcid numbers must be written in Times New Roman 10 point and single line space that should be seen only in the first page of the article, justified in the footer.
· The heading of an abstract should be written in capital letters, centered, 12 point, and bold. Abstracts and Key Words should be 11 points and 1.5 line spaced.
· Expressions in the text, such as newspapers, books, magazines, artworks, computer games, mobile applications, and brand names, should be written in italics.
GUIDELINES FOR ORAL PRESENTATIONS
· Oral presentations have to be in either Turkish, Azerbaijani, or English.
· Oral presentations must be in the language in which the abstract has been sent.
· Please note that each presentation should not last more than 15 minutes.
· Oral presentations can be made online or face to face. Poster presentations can only be made face to face.
FULL PAPER PREPARATION GUIDE
· Full papers must not exceed 7500 words. The paper submission rules of Etkileşim Üsküdar University Faculty of Communication Academic Journal should be taken into consideration.

ABSTRACT & FULL-TEXT SUBMISSION
· The deadline for abstract submission is February 17, 2025.
· The full-text submissions should be sent to ifig@uskudar.edu.tr by August 8, 2025.
· Abstracts should be submitted via the symposium website (click here). Please note that abstracts sent by fax or e-mail will not be accepted.
· After completing the form on the website, abstracts in Microsoft Word format should be uploaded to the relevant section.
· Submitted abstracts will be double blind peer-reviewed by the members of the Symposium Scientific Committee. Decisions about abstracts will be sent to authors via e-mail.

· The registration fee must be paid after acceptance. Since the registration process will be completed upon payment, there is no need to fill in the registration form again.
